Recent Advancement via Experimental Investigation of the Mechanical Characteristics of Sisal and Juncus Fibre-Reinforced Bio-Composites

In this work, the mechanical characteristics of unidirectional bio-composite materials reinforced by two types natural fibres (sisal andjuncus) were studied in order to develop new materials. The effect fibres’ extraction methods and their assembly techniques on properties elaborated composites was investigated. This is based three extracting fibres: first uses water treatment alone over a long period, while second alkaline chemical with sodium hydroxide solution. last method burial plant leaves moist soil. obtained are assembled according techniques, such as monolinear fibres, twisting into rope braiding rope. composite produced manually using pressure-contact moulding process. outcomes demonstrated that resulting compounds’ significantly impacted treatment. sisal/polyester exhibit better tensile test behaviour than those made juncus fibres. Moreover, contrary results some other studies, recently developed assembling process enabled reduction bio-composite’s thickness well cost its preparation.
